Badhte Kadam 2009
The National Trust, in a first-time endeavor, conducted Badhte Kadam,
a major Awareness campaign, from November 14-30, 2009. The purpose
of the Badhte Kadam campaign is to raise awareness of the disability
sector and National Trust, and to meet the following goals:
information on the UN Convention on the Rights of Persons with
Disabilities (UNCRPD), to which India is a signatory
understanding of National Trust programmes and schemes

Four teams were flagged off from Delhi on Children’s Day, 14th
November, in 2009 in different directions – route two covered Ranchi
Jharkhand, The programme held at Jaipal Singh Stadium, Ranchi . More
than 500 people attended the mela, Sri Satish Chandar State
Disability Commissioner was the Chief Guest.
Badhte Kadam 2010
Encouraged by the overwhelming success of Badhte Kadam 2009, Bahdte
Kadam 2010, was conducted throughout the whole of India from
November 16-30, 2010.Badhte Kadam 2010 had its official all India
flag off at the Constitution Club, New Delhi on November 16 at 3 PM.
National Trust collaborated with ONGC who financially supported
Badthe Kadam in 2010.
Deepshikha in collaboration with Dept. of Social Welfare, Women &
Child Development organized Badhte Kadam Campaign in 7 district ie
Ranchi, Gumla, Lohardaga, Latehar, Chatra, Hazaribagh, Bokaro and
Ramgarh. More than 3000 people attended BK mela.
Badhte Kadam 2011
This Year 6 district and 6 block covered ie Ranchi, Khunti, Chaibasa
and Gola, Mandu, Chitarpur, Dulmi, Patratu and Sadar block of
Ramgarh , The Flag off took place at the Rajbhavan and the Rath was
flagged of by His Excellency , Dr. Syed Ahmed , The Governor of
Jharkhand. More than 2500 people attended the mela.
