About the Programme – B.Ed.SE-MR

The Bachelor of Education (B.Ed.) in Special Education – Mental Retardation is a professional degree programme aimed at preparing educators to effectively teach and support children with intellectual and developmental disabilities. This course focuses on equipping future teachers with the skills, strategies, and understanding needed to address the diverse learning needs of students with mental retardation (intellectual disability) within both special and inclusive classroom environments.

• Applicants must hold a Bachelor’s Degree from any UGC-recognized university, regardless of their stream.
• Interest in teaching and supporting children with special needs

Additional Weightage Will Be Given To:

✔️ Parents of children with disabilities – 10 marks
✔️ Persons with disabilities – 10 marks
✔️ Candidates with a valid RCI Registration Certificate – 10 marks
