Making Policies & Decisions
Deepshikha follows a structured and inclusive decision-making framework that promotes transparency, accountability, and collective wisdom. Our four-tier system engages key stakeholders at every level—ensuring that decisions are informed, balanced, and mission-driven.
Monthly departmental reviews help monitor on-ground progress, while the Executive Committee oversees operational execution and ensures day-to-day alignment with our goals. Strategic guidance comes from our Advisory Body, which includes professionals from diverse fields who bring a wealth of experience and perspective. At the top, the governing bodies are responsible for setting long-term direction and ensuring that all policies and practices reflect our commitment to integrity, inclusion, and impact.
-
Credibility Norms
Credibility is not just a value at Deepshikha—it’s a practice embedded in everything we do. Our credibility norms are based on well-defined protocols that are consistently followed and audited by experts. We encourage our partner organizations and stakeholders to align with these standards to maintain a shared commitment to transparency, ethical practices, and mutual accountability. This framework helps us build trust, sustain long-term relationships, and deliver programs that are both effective and responsible.
-
Audit System
Deepshikha follows a robust four-tier audit mechanism that ensures financial integrity and operational excellence. Internal and process audits are conducted throughout the year to review everyday functions and workflows. Our annual Statutory Audit, performed by certified professionals, verifies financial reports and compliance with legal norms. For unbiased validation, we invite external evaluation agencies to assess the efficiency and impact of our programs. Additionally, Governance Compliance audits help ensure that we follow best practices, with all findings being reviewed by the governing bodies and our core leadership teams for ongoing improvements.
-
Use of Technology for Good Governance
Technology plays a critical role in how we operate, monitor, and scale our efforts. We use digital tools for project tracking, beneficiary databases, and financial reporting, ensuring streamlined processes and data accuracy. Our Management Information Systems (MIS) offer real-time insights, helping teams make data-driven decisions. Collaborative platforms improve communication across departments, while advanced tools like GPS and video conferencing are being explored to enhance field coordination and transparency.
-
People Management
People are at the heart of our mission. We nurture a democratic, inclusive, and empowering workplace culture where every voice is valued. Our team members undergo a fair performance appraisal process twice a year, providing opportunities for growth, recognition, and leadership development. We also prioritize capacity-building through ongoing mentorship and skills development to ensure our teams are equipped to drive change with empathy and expertise.
-
Project Management & Monitoring System
We follow a systematic and transparent approach to launching and managing projects. NGO partners are identified through a mix of public outreach, referrals, and direct applications. Each proposal undergoes a thorough desk appraisal by our internal team. Upon selection, we sign a formal MoU and offer training to ensure alignment with Deepshikha’s values and objectives. Ongoing monitoring includes periodic audits, field visits, and performance reviews. We also conduct both internal assessments and third-party evaluations to ensure programs are effective and create measurable impact.
Our Inclusive Policies
At Deepshikha, we are committed to fostering a safe, inclusive, and empowering environment for individuals with disabilities (Mental Retardation, Cerebral Palsy, Autism, and Multiple Disabilities.) Our policies ensure equal opportunities, transparency, and ethical practices in all our programs and initiatives.
